Facilitating Student Learning

We each learn and process information in different ways. Our learning style defines our preferences for acquiring and processing information and many people use a variety of learning methods. We also learn at different rates. Students and workplace educators will often have differences in the way they learn (and teach) most comfortably. The module, developed by James Cook University Physiotherapy staff, explores the role of the workplace educator in facilitating student learning during placement. The module covers the different learning styles and theories as well as resources to assist in the learning process.
